Exhibitions

The 2013 Ministry of Culture and Sport Awards for Arts and Design exhibition presents the works of the 39 artists, designers and curators who received awards in six categories: Lifetime Achievement Award, The Minister Award for Visual Art, Artistic Encouragement Award, Young Artist Award, Curator Award, and Design Award.

A new permanent space of the museum used for study and gatherings and dedicated to Artist Books - a unique medium that creates an intimate observation experience, and is considered an artwork of its own, despite the mass production involved.

The term "spolia" is used by architects and archeologists to describe the integration of older structural elements into new constructions for functional, political, or aesthetic reasons.

Amongst the artists whose work is exhibited:
Micha Ullman, Mordecai Ardon, Deganit Berest, Meir Gal, Tsibi Geva, Yitzhak Dantzinger, Yocheved Weinfeld, Irit Hemmo, Moshe Tamir, Avital Cnaani, Raffi Lavie, Juan Miro, Andre Masson, Michal Neeman, Joshua Neustein, Eli Petel, Jacob Pins, Mike Clay, Paul McCarthy, Moshe Castel, Jacob Steinhard, Aviva Uri, Pinchas Cohen Gan, Michael Gross and Kathe Kollwitz.

Olaf Breuning is a prominent international artist who resides in New York and works in the fields of photography, sculpture, drawing and video.

"Semaphore Island" is an exhibition comprised of layers of sound and image.
