Born in Ashdod, 1969; lives and works in Tel Aviv

Yehudit Sasportas transports us in her drawings to landscapes of fantasy – a forest clear surrounded by a menacing thicket. A forest, a swamp, a cave, frozen and falling trees – all combine to create obscure, black-and-white images of a mental wound, pervaded by a romantic atmosphere with religious overtones.
