One of the principles guiding Revital Ben-Asher Peretz's unique curatorial work is the inclusion of those she calls "non-artists." This concept has developed and evolved in the wide range of projects she has curated over the years to encompass collaborations with economically and socially disadvantaged groups, academics, scientists, and taxidermists, as well as with other curators - as was the case in the exhibition "Curators & Co." (Petach Tikva Museum of Art, 2011). The focus on her daughter Ruth, aged 10, marks an interest in a new type of "non-artist," as well as a self-reflexive strategy that blurs the lines between her personal and professional worlds. The resulting triad mother-artist-curator calls attention to the relations between these functions, while probing the challenge faced by women juggling different hats and roles.

Revital Ben-Asher Peretz writes about the work she created for the exhibition: "As the aging body withers, my gaze turns to my budding narcissistic reflection; an ebullient, passionate girl flirting with physical and mental forms of seduction, moving between awareness and its absence. Ruth spends many hours a day upside-down, engaged in physical activities that include handstands and headstands. While practicing, she throws her bare, dusty feet against the walls, leaning on them and covering them with dark traces. A recurrent plea emerges from my throat, a call for order and cleanliness: "No feet on the wall!" In this video work, Ruth makes humorous use of this annoying sentence, which has become a daily mantra, and performs it as a song accompanied by a dance."
